To go to the stadium to watch your favorite team’s matches, you can now cycle there and leave your bike under surveillance for the duration of the game.

Delighted Supporters
It is Sunday, February 19, and today’s main event is PSG – Lille. It is 12:52 PM, and a supporter arrives to drop off his bicycle at the temporary parking facility set up by Wheelskeep. The parking is 500 meters from Parc des Princes. This supporter explains to me: ” Before, I used to come by scooter. Between the hassle of parking, circulating on the way there and back. The two parking fines convinced me. I gave up. Now, I come by bike .” He does not wish to linger any longer; time is running out, the match starts in 5 minutes. He adds, “it’s super fast, look, it barely took me a minute to leave my bike here.”

A Need for Supervised Parking
Mathieu Labey, one of Wheelskeep’s two co-founders, explains it this way: ” The company started from a very simple observation: for citizens to want to use their bicycles, they need to be able to secure them during their activities .” He adds, “Also, with the rise of electric-assist bicycles, cyclists quickly find themselves burdened with their helmets and batteries, which is not very practical.”

Wheelskeep is therefore a service providing secure, supervised, and free parking for users. Since bicycles remain their responsibility during a match, they offer mechanical services. This Sunday, Hamed is coordinating the work. Hamed is a certified bicycle mechanic. “When a user asks us to adjust brakes, saddle height, or check tire pressure, we do it with pleasure and free of charge.”
However, for changing an inner tube or brake pads, Wheelskeep charges the owner for parts and labor. Users can also notify in advance. If they bring their new part, Wheelskeep can replace it.
