The Lyon-based company founded by Mathieu Labey (photo), Wheelskeep, offers a bicycle parking service in public spaces. Present until September 9 on Quai Claude-Bernard (Lyon 7th) in front of the Rhône swimming pool, it allows cyclists to drop off their bicycles and know they are being monitored, and even have them repaired. Established in April 2017, Wheelskeep is planning a fundraising round in September and aims to raise nearly €500,000 to expand across France in cities such as Nantes, La Rochelle, Bordeaux, and Toulouse.

Monitored bicycle parking facilities to be tested in Lyon
We don’t know about you, but we have already had three bicycles stolen right outside our home despite using heavy-duty locks. To prevent theft, a Lyon-based startup plans to install monitored parking areas entirely dedicated to bicycles and scooters in the city.
